Service Above Self - Working Together for the Common Good

Rotary is one of the most effective humanitarian organizations in the world with 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs in 200 countries. Its motto for individual members is "service above self.” Internationally, Rotary’s efforts promote health and literacy, reduce poverty and hunger, fight pollution, assist in disaster situations, and attempt to build peace and goodwill internationally. Rotary clubs are also involved with numerous projects to improve and enhance their local communities.

Chartered January 20th, 1953, Burlington Rotary Club (#5939) has played a major role in serving the needs of Burlington Township and Burlington City while also helping with Rotary's international projects.

Service Above Self is the Rotary Motto

As Rotarians, we live our lives by a simple
4-Way Test

  1. Is it the truth?
  2. Is it fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build good will and better friendships?
  4. Is it beneficial to all concerned?
In this spirit of Rotary our club has performs an extensive list of services that benefits individuals, organizations and the community as a whole. We are proud of our achievements and invite anyone who wants to serve the community to join us and help keep our club a vital part of the Burlington community for many years to come.

We are proud to be a part of Rotary International
An organization that has served the needs of both the local community and the world for over 100 years.
